The Goodwood/Fairdale stud owned mare Zambezi  foaled an outstanding first foal colt by Pentire last night.

Zambezi the winner of two races career was cut short due to injury however trainer Mark Walker believed the mare had the ability to compete at stakes level.

This beautiful dark brown mare not only had ability but she also boasts a great pedigree. Out of Tall poppy a three time G1 winner a daughter of G1 winner Fun on the run and by champion sire and more importantly champion broodmare sire Zabeel.

Zambezi's dam Tall poppy and grand dam Fun on the run were both bred and raced by Rex and Gerald fell , between the two mares 4 G1 races, 19 stakes races and 29 races in total were won.
