Phantom Brew strikes at Caulfield
30 Sep 2013

The progressive middle distance prospect Phantom Brew struck another winning blow in Australia for Goodwood Stud yesterday.

Lightly-raced for a six-year-old, he was successful over 2000 metres at Caulfield to take his record to four wins and seven placings from 18 starts.

Prepared by Colin Little and ridden by Nick Hall, Phantom Brew had placed at his previous appearance and looks a bright spring prospect.

The son of Elusive City was bought by his trainer out of Goodwood’s 2009 Select Sale draft to Karaka in 2009.

A half-brother to four winners, he is out of the Dehere mare Pina Colada who is a half-sister to the Group Two winner and Group One placed Marconee.
