3YO wins in fine fashion
25 Oct 2013Well-bred three-year-old Fully Fashioned opened his winning account in dashing style at Hastings this afternoon.
In the hands of top jockey Mark Du Plessis, he showed a good turn of foot in the straight for a clear-cut victory.
“He’ll carry on from here and he can win again,” Du Plessis said of the Grant Searle-trained bay.
“He got taken on a bit down the back and then sprinted away and not many horses do that in this grade with 57.5kg on their back.”
Part-owned by Goodwood Stud’s Rex Fell, he is a son of Fully Fledged and the Australian-bred mare Lake Letitia.
She is a three-quarter sister to the Gr 1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes winner Bon Hoffa.
It is also the family of the top-flight international winners Spark Of Life and Fire Of Life.
