Howbaddouwantit’s son claims cup
27 Dec 2013Tough customer Authentic Paddy bridged the gap to open class company at Awapuni on Boxing Day with victory in the Manawatu Summer Cup.
The Howbaddouwantit gelding has now won five of his 20 starts for trainer Lisa Latta and a further 10 placings emphasises his genuine nature.
Authentic Paddy was ridden by regular partner Robert Hannam and they led at the top of the straight and held a strong gallop to down a handy line-up.
He has held his form admirably having raced every month since April, including a visit to the winter carnival at Riccarton.
The four-year-old is out of the Cape Cross mare Authentic Cross, who was also a winner from Latta’s Awapuni stable.
