Pentire colt proves popular
28 Jan 2014A son of the proven Group One producer Pentire proved to be Goodwood Stud’s leading light during the Premier Sale at Karaka.
The colt was purchased for $75,000 by Te Akau principal and leading buyer David Ellis.
He is the first foal of the Zabeel mare Zambezi, a daughter of the Fell family’s triple Group One winner Tall Poppy.
Also featured on the pedigree page is the Group Two winner Frenetic and the multiple Australian winner Base.
Goodwood also sold a daughter of Iffraaj for $65,000 to the final bid of trainer Debbie Rogerson.
The filly is out of the More Than Ready mare Gifted Lass, who is a half-sister to the multiple stakes winner Presently.
It is also the current famy of the black type winner and Gr 1 Auckland Cup prospect Travolta.
