Stud graduate claims more black type
18 Jul 2015Jetset Lad defied his 58.5kg impost at Doomben this afternoon to successfully defend his Listed Tattersall’s Mile title.

Trainer Brian Smith will now set last month’s Gr 2 Brisbane Cup winner for a spring trip to Sydney.
"The Newcastle Cup is the race I have had in mind for him all along," Smith said.
"We both have a bit of age on us, but he is all quality and like quality horses he is hard to beat in anything."
A Goodwood Stud graduate, Jetset Lad was originally prepared by John Wheeler from his New Plymouth base.
They made three successful campaigns to Queensland before the gelding was left with Smith at Eagle Farm last year.
A son of Elusive City and the winning Jetball mare Jetset Lass, the seven-year-old has now banked more than $A600,000.
Jockey Paul Hammersley, who returned to Queensland three months ago after a stint in New South Wales, has developed a great association with Jetset Lad.
"I won the Brisbane Cup on him as well and he is fast becoming my favourite horse," Hammersley said. "He tries so hard and he never gives up."
