Top end to the day
07 Nov 2015Fionn’s Kid crowned a rewarding day for Goodwood Stud with his victory in the closing event at Te Rapa.
The five-year-old returned from a break in the best possible fashion with his Rating 65 success.
Trained by John Bell at Cambridge, the lightly-tried Fionn’s Kid doubled his winning tally with his first-up victory.
A son of the late, great O’Reilly, he was a $72,500 Karaka purchase out of Goodwood’s 2012 draft to Karaka.
Fionn’s Kid is out of the Redoute’s Choice mare Run Brony Run and a half-sister to the multiple winner Dream Run.
It is also the family of the Gr 1 Caulfield Cup winner Mongolian Khan’s sire Holy Roman Emperor.
