Duncan dines out on Chop Suey
02 Apr 2016Chop Suey capped off a run of genuine form with victory on the Group One under-card at Awapuni this afternoon. The Goodwood Stud graduate had placed in seven of his last eight starts so nobody could begrudge the chestnut his success.
“Cameron (Lammas) rode a fantastic race – it was lovely to see them settle back and then pick up the pace and finish off so well,” trainer and part-owner Ken Duncan said. “The rain came so it looks like I’ve got a winter flat galloper as well as all the jumpers.”
Chop Suey is a brother to the winner Fried Rice with their dam the Pins mare Hasta Luego. She is from the family of the influential Australian stallion Kaouru Star.
