Serena Miss fetches big money
02 Jun 2016Multiple stakes winning Goodwood Stud graduate Serena Miss changed hands for $A700,000 at the Gold Coast yesterday.

She was offered during the Magic Millions’ Broodmare Sale to dissolve a partnership.

A daughter of Iffraaj and the More Than Ready mare Gifted Lass, she was purchased by Victoria’s Belmont Bloodstock Agency.

Trained by Graeme and Debbie Rogerson, Serena Miss won the Gr.2 Matamata Breeders’ Stakes as a two-year-old and added the Gr.2 Sarten Memorial this season.

She also finished third behind the crack colt Xtravagant in the Gr.1 New Zealand 2000 Guineas.

Rogerson purchased the half-sister by Alamosa to Serena Miss out of Goodwood’s Karaka draft earlier this year for $55,000.
