Nicoletta does her half-sister a Karaka favour
24 Dec 2017Stakes-winning mare Nicoletta has drawn further attention to her Karaka-bound sibling with a hollow win at Te Rapa this afternoon.
The Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman-trained Goodwood Stud graduate trounced her Rating 75 rivals with a bold front-running performance.
A daughter of Savabeel, Nicoletta triumphed in last season’s Gr.3 Desert Gold Stakes and also finished fourth in the Gr.1 New Zealand Oaks.
Goodwood will offer her half-sister (Lot 97) by the leading sire Tavistock during the Book 1 Sale on January 28.
They are out of the United States-bred Celtic Court, who hails from a strong North American black type family.
She was purchased at Karaka in 2015 for $90,000 by agent Bruce Perry on behalf of his client Lib Petagna.
