The Brian Smith trained Hirtshals showed plenty of heart to win fresh up today at Ipswich over 1020 metres.

Although the heavy track was not suited she dug deep and finished too strong for the class 3 field.

Bred by Goodwood Stud and raced by Cam and Chas Stewart, Hirtshals is a full sister to the former top NZ sprinter Barbaric.
