Hirtshals produces dashing performance
22 Jun 2019Hirtshals produced a devastating finish to make a winning mark his the Queensland winter carnival.
The Goodwood Stud graduate powered home to beat his Rating 75 rivals today in the Eagle Farm opener.
Trained by Brian Smith, the five-year-old daughter of Pins was ridden by Larry Cassidy.
“She’s usually right up on the speed, but she only stepped fairly,” he said.
“We were three pairs back with a lovely run and she really hit the line.”
Raced by the Stewart brothers, Hirtshals is a sister to the multiple stakes winner Barbaric.
Their dam Burnzees Magic won six races and is a member of the potent Silver Liner family.
